There's no such thing as objectivity in HR

Isn't it incoherent to expect too much objectivity from a department that serves an organization and its people? Aren't we distorting this "human-to-human" relationship when we make it evolve around synthetic processes? Haven't we lost that all-important link between HR and the organization that gives it not only credibility, but also the essence to strategically navigate organizational change?
